Skylab Studio is a husband-and-wife creative studio based near the Bay Area, California. Michael and Rebecca design and build custom websites, brands, software, and content for clients worldwide.

The studio is intentionally two people. You work directly with the founders — there are no account managers between you and the people doing the work.

Skylab offers fifteen services: brand strategy, branding, business consulting, concept creation, content creation, copy editing, demo prototyping, information architecture, logo design, marketing, motion graphics, photography, SEO, software & app development, and web design.

Most engagements combine several of these — for example brand identity plus a new site and SEO.

Skylab Studio is based near the Bay Area, California, and works remotely with clients worldwide. Everything runs over email, calls, and shared review links, so timezone is not a problem.

Skylab quotes every project individually after a discovery call, because scope, page count, and build complexity vary widely. Pricing is not published on the site — you get a written scope and a cost before any work starts.

You will never receive a surprise invoice: the agreed scope and fee are documented in a signed services agreement.

Timelines are set during the Blueprint stage and depend on scope, how much content already exists, and how quickly feedback comes back. Skylab provides a schedule in writing before the build begins rather than quoting a generic turnaround.

No. Every Skylab site is custom-designed and custom-built, which is why the work does not look like anyone else's. Pixel-perfect layout, fast load times, and conversion-focused structure are the baseline, not add-ons.

Yes. Skylab builds custom web apps, mobile apps, and SaaS products, including interactive demo prototypes used to validate an idea before full development.

Yes. Skylab handles technical SEO, content structure, and answer engine optimization (AEO) — structuring pages with clear questions, self-contained answers, and structured data so AI search tools can quote and cite them accurately.

Four stages: Discovery clarifies the business, audience, and goals. Blueprint sets strategy, structure, and design direction. Liftoff is build, launch, and handoff — with an ongoing Orbit phase for continued support.
